This apron always gets a laugh from anyone who sees it for the first time. “Baking, Because Murder Is Wrong” lands as a two-fold joke: first, everyone gets the humor between a couple, and then I get an extra laugh because my wife, who is a great cook, rarely, if ever, bakes. That said, she will really enjoy wearing this apron, mainly because of the great fit. It’s adjustable around the neck with two settings. The waistband, described as “long,” is limited in length and can only be tied in the back which is my wife’s preference, rather than wrapped around and tied in front. Tied up front is my style so I can tuck in a towel. It’s not a deal breaker, but the length is a bit overstated.
This is a one size fits all apron. It’s nicely sewn and includes several useful deep front pockets. The printing and artwork are clear, clever, and well done.
However, the product listing under “About this item” states the material is “100% cotton,” which doesn’t seem accurate. The apron feels much more like polyester. I checked the sewn-in tag, which is entirely in Chinese except for “Made in China,” and the washing instructions are also in Chinese. Elsewhere in the listing, the material information is left blank. Similar aprons are typically made of polyester, so it’s unclear whether this is a mistake or potentially misleading.
This apron will fit right into our kitchen rotation and is undeniably cute. Still, a fair review should call attention to the need for clarification from the supplier regarding what appears to be an oversight in the material description.
