Over the past year or so, I've transitioned to cooking about 50%-75% of my meals at home (an increase from a low 10% in the past). For those meals that are quite involved, I'd gotten into the happen of changing into clothing that I don't have to worry about getting messy before starting the cooking process. I thought about getting an apron before, but for some reason just never did.
Now that I've used these a few times so far, I wish I'd started using aprons long ago. These aprons are lightweight enough to not feel heavy and not make ME bake when working in the kitchen. But they've also done a great job at creating a barrier between mishaps and my clothing. I also really like that the neck strap is adjustable. When they do get messy, just pop them in the washing machine and they're good as new. The pockets have also come in handy for placing my phone.
The only thing I would like to see improved upon is the straps used to tie the apron in the back. I find that it's simple enough to tie a knot behind my back, but I think it would be much faster to put on and remove the apron if it used a quick snap mechanism similar to what you might see on a backpack or a fanny pack.
For the current price of $15 for a 3-pack, these aprons are a steal.
